Inclusivity and Accessibility for Hearing Yoga Teachers!

Nae Nae Helps Yoga teachers to have resources to bring inclusivity and accessibility for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community. As a yoga teacher, I’ve had a wonderful opportunity to educate other yoga teachers how to provide accessibility for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Not many Yoga teachers are aware or know about the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Community. My job is to help Yoga teachers become aware and to be more inclusive to build more connections with the D/HH/.

Are you a Yoga teacher? Do you provide accessibility for the DHH? (Deaf/Hard of Hearing)

You’ve come to the right place to find resources for your platform!

I’ve created a Course for Hearing Yoga teachers on how to include the DHH community.

“Although only new to the Yoga space, Chynae is making a big impact. I have attended many of her classes and will continue to do so over the coming years. Chynae teaches for both the hearing and deaf communities in a singular class, contributing to a unique and reflective practice. She always signs and speaks when discussing the poses to create an inclusive space for all. During her zoom classes, she ensures all her participants are comfortable and have everything they need; often suggesting alternative props to suit any home or skill level. Chynae’s teaching style is visually-driven and engaging. She often counts to the beat of breaths to seamlessely intergrate the deaf and hearing community. There’s always joy in Chynae’s classes, and once class is over, I leave feeling a greater sense of appreciation. ”
